On Dec. 10, at Hersheypark Stadium, St. Joseph`s Prep beat Pittsburgh Central Catholic, 42-7, to capture its third state championship over four years and become just the second team in Catholic League history to finish 14-0 (also La Salle in 1996). The Hawks were led by D`Andre Swift, who rushed 27 times for 161 yards and three TDs. Terrance Greene added two scores (trick-play reception, 93-yard kickoff return), Darryle Simmons caught a TD pass, Marquez McCray passed for 171 yards and one score and Anthony Tigano went 6-for-6 on PAT. James Johnson paced the defense with 13 tackles (two sacks) and a forced fumble.
